Rob established HQ New Zealand in its current format in 2001 with business partner and wife Michelle. A Management graduate, Rob has a Marketing background and is involved in all areas of the business particularly sales and marketing and devising new activity and team building programmes. More recently, Rob has combined his skills in business, leadership and the outdoors to become New Zealand’s only licensed facilitator of the acclaimed Red Leaf Group’s Wilderness Simulations.
A born and bred Queenstown local, Ellen has returned home after completing her travels, to a place she is so passionate about. Ellen completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Otago University, majoring in Marketing and Management before gaining experience in Sales & Marketing in New Zealand, Australia and North America. With a true understanding of Queenstown, and a bubbly personality, Ellen loves interacting with all clients giving them a unique experience.
Rachael has been Operations Manager at HQ New Zealand since 2004 and brings with her a wealth of experience. Logistics and creativity are her speciality and she is a self-confessed details addict.
Born and raised in Queenstown, Jamie studied at the University of Otago gaining a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Management and a Diploma for Graduates in Events and Conferences within the Tourism Industry. Having traveled the world extensively as a competitive ski racer, Jamie has a great understanding of the tourism field. Friendly, approachable and ready for a challenge.
A fully qualified primary school teacher with a recent background in marketing though the management of brand experiences, product launches, PR and media events. Hamish’s planning and preparation for unique and engaging experiences is world class.

Born and raised in Queenstown, Sarah completed her Event Management Degree in Dunedin before returning home to fulfill her passion in events. Sarah combines her local knowledge and friendly personality to provide the best service to all of our clients.
Kay has a varied background working in Sales and Account Management and loves to interact with people. The beauty and relaxed lifestyle of New Zealand is what attracted Kay to immigrate to New Zealand four years ago and you will often find her out exploring the natural playground of Queenstown. Kay’s positive and infectious attitude is contagious and her appointment to the HQ team as Sales Coordinator signifies our commitment to our clients in providing an exceptional level of service.
Clare has a huge experience working in events all around the globe and is never without a smile on her face. From Winter Games to Vivid, Ironman to Blues & Roots, Clare brings with her a huge array of experience and loves a challenge.
Michelle is an Arts & Language graduate from Waikato University and has over 15 years experience as a Project Manager in IT and Events. Naturally super organised, with loads of attention to detail, Michelle thrives on events with lots of different components and is in her element with lots on the go.
Donna is the founder and owner of Tourism Portfolio. Donna is enthusiastic, friendly and extremely knowledgable about the C&I Industry. In 2008 she received the Meetings and Events Australia Sales & Marketing Person of the Year Award. Donna’s appointment by HQ New Zealand in March 2010 signals our commitment to the Australian market and will enhance the service we deliver to both existing and future clients.
